jackson hole

our trip to jackson over the valentines/presidents day weekend was so fun and very much needed. it was a short and ended up being a spontaneous trip but we are so glad we went. originally we planned to go with my parents, grandma and my sister and her husband but everyone bailed out on us. al was out of town for work and wasnt going to get home until friday at 5 so we figured that it might be a waste of time to go. he ended up coming home on thursday night instead but it was too late for me to get work off. so friday morning we were still unsure of whether or not we were going because we couldnt leave until after work and the weather report wasnt looking to good. but at about 4pm on friday we decided to go anyway and I am so glad we did.

we got to jackson around 11pm and went straight to sleep. we started valentines morning off by waking up and going to breakfast at our favorite place, the bunnery.

we rolled out of bed, put on hats and ran down there to beat the crowds. we go here every time we come and its always packed.

please ignore the hideousness of this picture and focus on the scenery, it is so pretty there, especially during the winter. this is the view from the balcony of our condo.

during the day we just hung out and watched prison break! we've watched 24, lost and now its time for prison break. so we watched the first 4 episodes.

for our valentines dinner we got burgers. thats right, burgers! not very romantic but billy's is our favorite place, we crave it year round and are sometimes tempted to drive to jackson just to go there! so we were very excited to eat there so it was a perfect valentines dinner!
after dinner we just walked around town for awhile. in the 23 years that ive been going to jackson i have never seen the antlers or town square lit up, so i was wayexcited--it was so pretty! we then went back to the condo to play phase 10 (my favorite game) and watch 50 first dates! it was such a fun, laid back valentines. love you al!

on sunday we went to church and watched 4 more episodes of prison break--we are loving it! i definitely recommend it.

later in the afternoon we walked around town again, looked through the shops and then we took a drive. if you havent been to jackson you really need to, it is so gorgeous. call us if you want to go!

before we headed out we ate at billy's AGAIN! yes i am fat i know. this time i tried a buffalo hot dog and it was good, but the burgers are way better.

all and all we had such a fun time and were depressed to come home and get back to real life! it was so relaxing and fun spending time with just me and al. we hadnt been on a trip together since last june so it was much needed! i am so grateful to my wonderful grandma lou for letting us use her condo, we cant wait to go back!
