book worm?

So this year it was my goal to read 2 books. Yes you read that right, 2 books in a year! Im not much of a reader as you can see. However this year has been different! I had read 2 books in January alone! Now Im up to 7 books in 6 months. That may be very weak compared to all you readers out there but Im very proud of myself!

Here is what I have read so far this year....

• Breaking Dawn - weirdest book ever, but whatever, i had to see how it all ended.
• The Last Song - loved it and loved the movie
• These Is My Words - loved it
• Dear John - same thoughts as The Last Song
• Hunger Games - AMAZING
• Catching Fire - OBSESSED
• The Help - loved it

I feel like I have read some pretty good books this year, that is why I need your help to keep the streak going. I just started Half The Sky and don't know how I feel about it yet, and Im planning on reading Hunger Games and Catching Fire again before the third one comes out, yes I am that obsessed. I have all of my characters mapped out for the movies and I do plan on going to Barnes and Noble at midnight when Mockingjay comes out, dont judge. But I need more referrals! I want books that engulf me and I cant put down!

So I'm not much of a reader...never have been, I'm too A.D.D. I guess. But this year it was a goal of mine to read one book a month and Ive read three this year so far, go me! Yes I did turn to book on tape because I am trying to read the Book of Mormon in 100 days so that takes up all of my book-in-hand-reading-the-page type of reading, but nonetheless I'm still reading (listening) to books. And I have a 40 minute commute to work each way so its perfect.


I havent really had a schedule of what books to read this year, Ive just been choosing them as I go (until my soroity gals decided to start a book club last month, yay.) But my sisters have been talking about this book forever now so I finally decided to listen to their opinion and read it. Low and behold I loved it.

At first it was a little hard for me to get into because it was different than the books Im used to reading, (think Stephenie Meyer and Nicholas Sparks,) but about 1/4 way into the book I was hooked. Im still thinking about the life they lived and the cutest love story ever.

If you need a good read pick this one up for sure.

PS Book Club girls, Im a few months early on this one, sorry! But dont worry, The Hunger Games is next. (after Dear John)

Dear Jacob,

I have been on your side from the beginning. And although I dont know the outcome because I still havent finished Breaking Dawn because the part Im at is so dumb I cant move past it, you have for sure won in my book.

This movie looks a million times better than the first one and I am counting down the days until I see it (exept I dont have time to it until next week).

Anxiously Waiting

I know it seems like I post about movies a lot but I really don't know why. I rarely go see movies in the theater and its not like I try to seek-out upcoming movies, I just love movie previews and I get very excited about them for some reason. I'm weird I know! So anyways...I just found out that one of my favorite books is being made into a movie! It is set to release on Feb. 13 2009 and I cant wait. If you haven't read this book, or series of books, you really should, it is hilarious and very entertaining! You will laugh out loud and get very frustrated at times.



The cute Isla Fisher is playing Rebecca Bloomwood and I think she's a great choice. I know that all you Shopaholic lovers will be very excited about this too!

please don't tell me these are the people who are really playing the cullen's in the twilight movie? i am so disappointed!! the blonde's all look like they're wearing wigs and they all look so cheesy! and this is NOT edward! the movie better be good still. i am so mad about this!

new moon video

ok, i have to thank my cousin jen for leading me to her friend's blog which lead me to THIS. if i knew how to post a youtube video on my blog i'd post it, but since i cant figure it out you'll just have to click on the link.

its a movie that someone with way too much time on their hands made about new moon. i love the characters they found for bella and edward and it gets me so excited for the movie. too bad this isnt the guy who is playing edward in the real movie, i think he's perfect.

movie news

for those of you know dont know, i LOVE movies. i have a great one to recommend and a few that im very anxious to see, all of them with all star casts. and it just so happens that three of my favorite grey's anatomy stars are in three of these movies. so if your obsessed with grey's like i am then you cant go wrong.

first off if you havent seen "enchanted" youre really missing out! some of you might think its the most retared movie ever, but those of you who love cheesy musicals will love this movie. mcdreamy, aka patrick dempsy, is so cute in it and amy adams does such a good job. now on to the list of movies i want to see...

first off, "ps i love you". if you loved denny from grey's as much as i did, then you have to see THIS. i really am counting down the days until it comes out.

"27 dresses" with katherine heigl also looks like my type of movie, and one that al will refuse to watch with me. again, you cant go wrong with a star from grey's, and james marsden (one of the stars of hairspray and enchanted).

now on the the most anticpated movie news....robert pattinson has been cast as EDWARD from twilight. for those of you who dont know, robert pattinson played cedric diggory in the fourth harry potter movie. im not quite sure how i feel about this, he's just not what i pictured edward to look like. then again i dont think anyone could match up to what edward looks like in my head! go HERE for more info.
