New Years Weekend

Over New Years my family went up to the Jackson condo for a freezing weekend! I hadnt been to Jackson in the winter for awhile and I forgot how COLD it gets! But it was still the perfect, and a much needed getaway!

Our first stop was of course Billy's for lunch with the awesome locals. {Notice how sweet they are in the back of our pics}

We walked around the shops

Took antler pictures

For New Years a ton of skiers ski down Snow King and then there is a big firework show
After the big show we changed in our jammies, played games and celebrated the New Year!

You cant go to Jackson without breakfast at Nora's, it is the BEST.

We drove through Grand Teton National Park and took a billion pictures in the gorgeous snow

Cute parents!

More walking around the shops and stopping for some chocolate
I love my cowboy hubby...too bad his dream hat was $600!
Sweet souvenirs

Pizza at Mountain High Pizza Pie

Love the antlers when they are lit up
Lounging in the condo the night before we left.

A few highlights:
taking ugly pictures
mr. hammand's scatches
name game and celebrity
"and you, i want for life"
attempting to jump for pictures
computer time
iphone pics
family videos
getting the master
biscuits and gravy

Im officially obsessed with Jackson. Thanks for the fun weekend family! We missed the ones we couldnt make it!

After-Parties

The week after Christmas we had a couple of "after parties" so we could see the out-of-towner friends.

Jane and Blake had us over for a little get together with the DG clan and we had a blast, not to mention the most amazing homemade cafe rio salads!

I loooooove these girls!

Care came up with the idea of doing a Costco gift exchange and it was so fun and such a good idea! We all came home with something useful from Costco!
Love you Court!

I am so lucky to have met such amazing girls in DG! Even though Im the slacker of the group who can never go to things, I still know that I will be friends with these girls for life. I miss all you out of towners and love when I get to see you! Thanks Janers for the fun party, good luck in Singapore, Al and I just may have to take a trip there to visit! :)

The next night we got together with my high school friends and we got to see Kristin who was in town from Boston! It was so fun seeing her twice in a few months! The night of this party was a horrible snow storm so we didnt stay for long but these girls are my very best friends and I dont know where I would be without them. We may fight like sisters (Brina!), but we are there for each other through thick and thin and I love you all! Thanks for hosting Brooke!

I have been sooo blessed with the amazing friends through my life, thank you all for everything!!

Christmas Day

So Christmas Eve is my favorite night of the year and Christmas Day is my favorite day of the year, and this year's Christmas was beyond amazing!

We woke up and did our own little Christmas, which Al definitely spoiled with some DVD's, the most comfortable moccasins in the world-I literally cannot take them off, and a gorgeous ring that I love. I gave him a bunch of DVD's and a Nook because he is a huge reader. After that we went up to my parents for presents and her amazing sticky buns.

The tradition sibling pic on the stairs lined up by age.

Christmas jammies from my mom!

After we got SPOILED by my parents (thank you parents, you did WAY too much for us!) we went to Grandma Lou's for the traditional Rawlings Family Brunch. I look forward to this brunch all year long because there is sooo much amazing food! I stuff myself sick everytime!

That afternoon we went to The Hogan's to get SPOILED again, play games, visit his grandparents and eat more of course!

We had the perfect Christmas and I cant thank my family enough for everything!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is probably one of my favorite nights of the year, and this year was even better because I had work off that day so we could be home and get things ready for Christmas!

Later that afternoon we went over to The Hogan's for dinner, Christmas PJ's and The Grinch.

After that we would normally have gone to my Aunt Polly's for homemade chicken noodle soup and games but she got sick this year and we couldnt go! It was the first time since I can remember that I wasnt at Aunt Polly's on Christmas Eve! So we moved the party to my parents house and tried to recreate our traditional night!

We played the Name Game like we do every Christmas Eve and it was hilarious as usual!

We missed the cousins who werent there but glad that some of them made it!

Thanks for the fun party mom and dad!

Work Christmas Lunch

This year I planned a Cafe Rio and Ugly Sweater Contest for our work Christmas lunch and it was pretty funny.

Dave won...his wife whipped this sweater up before he came to work that morning and it was awesome, lit up and everything!

I am so blessed to have a job that I love and such cool people to work with!

Engaged!

Last week, my little sister got engaged...if you know them, this is kind of a big deal! They have been dating for over 4 years and have finally decided to tie the knot!

Eliza and I were able to help Jon pull it off. He had us go up to The Aerie restaurant at Snowbird and make the table pretty and take pictures for when they got there. She thought they were meeting his family for dinner and was in shock when they walked up to a pretty table with candles.

Lize and I hid and took pics of the event and then stayed after to get some more pictures.

Later that night she was pretty excited and was dancing around Jon's kitchen to celebrate. Luckily Scotty caught it on tape!

Megan had my great-grandma's ring molded (the same ring that my Grandma Lou now wears) so Meg went over to take pictures with my grandma and their twinner rings!

Congrats Jon and Meg! Cant wait until the big day!
