love.love.love.

So I'm not much of a reader...never have been, I'm too A.D.D. I guess. But this year it was a goal of mine to read one book a month and Ive read three this year so far, go me! Yes I did turn to book on tape because I am trying to read the Book of Mormon in 100 days so that takes up all of my book-in-hand-reading-the-page type of reading, but nonetheless I'm still reading (listening) to books. And I have a 40 minute commute to work each way so its perfect.

I havent really had a schedule of what books to read this year, Ive just been choosing them as I go (until my soroity gals decided to start a book club last month, yay.) But my sisters have been talking about this book forever now so I finally decided to listen to their opinion and read it. Low and behold I loved it.

At first it was a little hard for me to get into because it was different than the books Im used to reading, (think Stephenie Meyer and Nicholas Sparks,) but about 1/4 way into the book I was hooked. Im still thinking about the life they lived and the cutest love story ever.

If you need a good read pick this one up for sure.

PS Book Club girls, Im a few months early on this one, sorry! But dont worry, The Hunger Games is next. (after Dear John)

guilty pleasure

Is it bad that lately I crave one of these $1 baby's every day?

McD's ice cream just has the best flavor.

dear 90's boy bands...

I miss you.

Sisters and I just spent the last little bit YouTubing old Backstreet Boys and NSYNC music videos. Then I did it even more on my home from my parents. Seriously I miss boy bands, where did they all go? Joe-Bro's don't quite qualify because a) there are only 3 of them & b) they don't have sweet music videos and awesome dance moves....Bye Bye Bye and Backstreet's Back...need I say more?

Please reunite.

january.

I cant believe its been almost a month since I posted! So not like me. Guess it proves just how exciting our January was. I hate January I decided, I despise it. Its so blah. We had the most boring month ever, like really. We did nothing. Work, tv (yay for all my shows starting up though), sleep, repeat. Boring. So glad the month is over!

However, at the beginning of the month, or maybe it was still December? I cant remember, we had our second annual hot dog roast at Al's parents house. Its so fun to get into snow clothes and roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire. Last year we had quite the snowball fight but the snow was gross this year so that didn't happen.

Maddie, me, Al, Mal and Jadi.
Wish I had gotten a picture of little Sawyer, he looked SO cute all bundled up.

I hope February is more fun than January. It started off fun--last night about 30 girls from my neighborhood stayed at The Grand America, had dinner, went to Gateway, saw Dear John (and loved it), and stayed up talking until 3am or later! I don't remember the last time I stayed up that late, before I was married for sure. So Im pretty much delusional today but it was well worth it thanks so our very interesting conversations ha! Too bad I didn't get any pictures.

Hopefully February will be more eventful than January so I can post a little more! Until then...
