Ab's Shower!

This is Abby, she is my BFF, sorority sister, neighbor, daily gchat buddy and is pregnant with twin boys!! Unfortunately she got put on bedrest a month ago and decided to stay at her parents house since it is closer to her doctor and her husband's work. Because of that we took her shower to her -- complete with Cafe Rio take-out, cupcakes and gifts for the boys!

It was so fun seeing Abs and catching up with college friends! I cant wait for the twinsies to arrive!

chicken tostadas

I made chicken tostadas last week and they were goooooooood! I found the recipe HERE and have been wanting to make them for awhile now. I made 3 chicken breasts and that was enough for about 5 tostadas. We added Spanish rice and avocado to ours.

This week has been such a sad week for me. I got released from being in Young Women's for 3 1/2 years! I never thought I would be this emotional about getting released but I guess I am just realizing how much I really loved it! I am tearing up just thinking about it!

I went to YW today for one final time and the girls and leaders were so cute and got me a flower, treats and a cute card. I will miss them all so much! The girls are amazing and the leaders truly are five of my very best friends! Im going to be so sad not spending a few hours with them each week!

I was also able to go to one last Fireside tonight where our Stake YW showed this video they made of our girls, I was bawling during the whole thing of course! We truly do have the best girls and the most amazing neighborhood, the entire thing was filmed in Daybreak and I am so grateful to live in such a beautiful neighborhood!

These last few years have been so much fun and I have learned sooo much about myself and about the YW program. The Bishop knows that Im not too happy with him right now but I am excited about the next adventure they have in store for me.........nursery here I come!

Dad's 60th

For my dad's big day we celebrated by first going to dinner at Bonsai....yum!!

This is Cee, my new favorite person and the best cook I have ever had at any of these restaurants, he was hilarious!

Of course we all had to try and catch shrimp, some were better than others - Grandma Lou even tried!

Katie learned how to use chopsticks to get prepared for her upcoming adventure to Thailand!

After dinner we went over to Bud and Lize's for cake and presents

We got my dad his favorite chocolate orange mousse cake - it is seriously to die for.
