happy birthday becky!!

I cant let this day pass without telling my amazing mother-in-law Happy Birthday!! I really could not have asked for a better mother-in-law. She is the nicest, sweetest person I know and she really would do anything to make to happy.

I know that I can always count on her for anything. If you know her you know how amazingly talented she is in so many areas. I really hope that my kids inherit her creative and artistic talents!

She is gorgeous on the outside and inside and does so much for Alan and I. I could never thank her enough for everything!

For those of you who thought I was going to stop making posts about David Archuleta think again! Last night he came to our stake's mutual activity!! It was pretty crazy!! So here's the story...

Since I live in Daybreak the youth in our stake, and 26 other stakes, are part of the big open house celebration for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Every week until the end of May we have to practice the songs and dances for the big event. I was at a church with the Young Women and Men who are dancing and some other leaders were with the rest of the Young Women and Men at another church practing the songs. So about 20 mintues before we were supposed to be done dancing they told us that we were taking a field trip down to the other church because David Archulta was coming. The guy in our stake who is in charge of the music for the temple open house knows David really well and asked him to come talk to our youth. Everyone started freaking out of course and we sped down to the church and waited around for awhile wondering if he was really going to come.

In the meantime I texted my sister in law Maddie to come over because she lives close and loves David too. So all of the youth are in the gym singing and waiting for David to come and I was waiting in the foyer for Maddie. Right after Maddie walked in David walked in so we were in the lobby alone with David like 4 other people! Me and Maddie of course were acting like 12 year old girls and we asked him to take a picture with us and he wouldnt! He was all laughing and acting confused like he usually does and say hi and kept walking. Then he was waiting outside of the door to the gym and we asked him again, ya we are freaks, and he was acting all weird again and walked into the gym! Lame huh?! We were so mad but it was still cool talking to him for a split second! He then talked to the youth for a few mintues and left.

It was neat to have such a huge celebrity who is their age and who has been in their shoes talk to the youth about the gospel and the church! He said that he couldnt sing for us because of his contract which was lame but it was still a neat experince and everyone was so excited!

I cant let this day go by without telling my amazing dad Happy Birthday! If you know my dad you know how awesome he is! He is the nicest, sweetest, smartest, most caring man in the world! He always puts others first, especially my mom and his girls! He treats my mom like a queen and would do anything and everything for her. He is such an example to me in every way and I really dont know what I would do without him. He has done so much for me in my life and I can count on him 24/7.

To celebrate the big day we went to dinner at Chili's and went back to my parents for cake and ice cream.

I love you more than life dad and I could never thank you enough for EVERYTHING you've done for me! Happy Birthday!

daybreak girls

A few weeks ago the Daybreak gals got together for Keri and Kim's birthday's at Cheesecake, yum! And then the week after we got together again for Brittany's baby shower at Settabello, yum again!

I love these girls so much and am so grateful that we've all met out here and that I have such good friends in my neighborhood.

I cant wait for your little girl to get here Britt!
