December Catch-Up

I cant believe Christmas is over! I am sooo sad about it! But we definitely lived it up with lots and lots of parties, friends, events and watching pretty much every Christmas movie made, no joke-Im a little obsessed with Christmas movies!

One of the first things we did this December was go to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional at the Conference Center and then to the Young Woman General Board dessert social at the Relief Society Building.

They always have such good Christmas treats.

It was a gorgeous, foggy night so I had to snap a pic of the temple.

That weekend we also put up some Christmas decor.

I love putting up Christmas stuff....but I HATE taking it down. Im thinking it will stay up well into January.

One night Al and I went on a date night to the lights at Temple Square and the Jazz game.

A few night later we went to Zoo Lights with Al's sister Maddie and her boyfriend Jordan. I had never been before but it was SO fun!

Dont mind our faces....it was windy and FREEZING! I couldnt even feel if I was smiling or not!

On top of all this we had family parties, David Archuleta and the Mo-Tab, family time for my mom's birthday and more Im sure. I feel like we were non-stop in Decemeber but I loved every second of it!

Thanksgiving Weekend

I figure that its a good idea to get Thanksgiving posted before Christmas comes and goes!

I love how our Thanksgiving works out with our two families, its perfect for us.

My family goes out somewhere at 12:30 with my grandma and cousins. We have gone to Tuscany the last few years and it is so good and so much food!

Alan's family does a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at his parents later that day.
Two Thanksgiving dinners in one day is the best!
On Saturday we went over to my parents to watch the BYU/Utah game, eat pizza and decorate their house for Christmas.

I love decorating the huge, real trees that my dad gets every year!

This year has by no means been perfect, in fact it has not gone as planned at all. But I still have so many things to be grateful for in my life....my great husband, my job, amazing family and in-laws, my house, a good neighborhood, ward and calling, good friends, and our health to name a few.

Now on to Christmas!
