Wallsburg

While my mom was on the General Young Women Board we were able to go up to The Ashton's AMAZING estate in Wallsburg, UT for a day during the summer with all the board member's families.  You may remember from here and here! It is the most amazing and gorgeous property complete with a house, barn, zipline over a pond, zipline over grass, swingset, tarp slide, canoes, tennis, horseshoes, etc.

Even though they got released this past April, Karen Ashton still invited us all up this year and I was so excited!  This year however, it was on Monday afternoon/evening so we went up after work and didn't do any of the usual water sports - we just ate, hung out, had homemade ice cream, played horseshoes, and ziplined.

Ziplining!

We even got my pops to do it!

 Perfect summer evening outside!

Fingers crossed that we can go up again next year!

General Young Woman Meeting

This year was the last General YW Meeting with my mom on the Board so I made sure to soak it all in since it'll be my last (well with this seats, having my mom in charge, etc.)  As usual, this meeting did not disappoint. My mom was the head of the committee for the meeting and she did an incredible job - especially with the choir. They were truly amazing and looked SO cute in their bright colors!  Out of all the conference meetings, the YW one is always my favorite. I'm pretty sure that the First Presidency saves their best talks for this meeting!

The conference center looked so beautiful and bright!

My amazing mama up on the stand with the First Presidency!

 My mom's "Groupies" :)

The General YW President and all of the Board was released at conference this past April so we decided to do a Sunday dinner "Release Party/Celebration" in my mom's honor.  We made all of her favorite food,  decorated everything in pink and gold, and gave her some jammie's and pedicure gift card so she can relax for the first time in 5 years!

Shishkabob prep! Taste the Rainbow!

My mom is so amazing and worked so hard on the Board - she is the #1 in example in my life and I look up to her SO much!! Love you mama!!

General Young Women Tea Party

Last Saturday, February 16th, the General Young Women Presidency and Board has the most amazing Tea Party for all of their daughters and granddaughters.  It was so amazing and such a fun experience.  Not only was it so fun to be with all those amazing people and great examples, but every detail of the whole day was incredible!

We started out the day by all meeting together to go over the schedule, hand out our notebooks and folder, and Sister Dalton talked to us!

The theme of the day was based off of President Uchtdorf's talk, Your Happily Ever After. (You MUST read it if you haven't already.) The whole day we learned about the Plan of Salvation and made our own timeline of our lives and how we can reach our Happily Ever After.

Sister Dalton talked about how our "Tea Party" is really a "Temple Party" - The temple is our castle and the way to our Happily Ever After.

We went to four classes that morning - the first one was taught by Ann Dibb and was all about President Monson since he is her dad! We learned about his life lots of fun facts about him.  The three other classes were about the temple, the Creation and about Lehi's Dream and holding to the rod.

After the classes we had our Tea Party! It was sooo amazing.  Everything was so perfect and I couldn't believe all of the detail they went to.  These pictures don't even come close to doing it justice.

The food was incredible!
Sandwiches of all kinds, fruit, cookies, bruschetta, cupcakes, fruit tarts and so much more.

I could have eaten 50 of those crown cookies!

The candy bar was the hit of course,
they wouldn't "open" it until after lunch and the little girls were going crazy!

My mom is the most amazing person I know and such an example to me.  I have loved that she has been able to be on the General Young Women Board for the last 4.5 years because I have had so many amazing experiences because of it!  I will be so sad when she gets released in a few months! :)  Thanks for the invite to the Tea Party, mama!

Wallsburg

If you remember from last year, we are able to go up to Wallsburg, UT with the General Young Women's Board and their families to The Ashton's amazing barn for a big summer party.  It is definitely a highlight of our summer. This place is the epitome of a perfect summer day - fresh cut grass, a big red barn, zip line over the grass, zip line into a lake, canoeing, good food, popsicles, tennis, a monster slip n' slide, and more.

View while laying on the grass drying off

Nothing feels better than falling into a fresh lake in the summer!

 Jack was loving it

We love Sister Dalton!!

It is so much fun and I REALLY hope this wasn't our last time up there! :)

released :(

This week has been such a sad week for me. I got released from being in Young Women's for 3 1/2 years! I never thought I would be this emotional about getting released but I guess I am just realizing how much I really loved it! I am tearing up just thinking about it!

I went to YW today for one final time and the girls and leaders were so cute and got me a flower, treats and a cute card. I will miss them all so much! The girls are amazing and the leaders truly are five of my very best friends! Im going to be so sad not spending a few hours with them each week!

I was also able to go to one last Fireside tonight where our Stake YW showed this video they made of our girls, I was bawling during the whole thing of course! We truly do have the best girls and the most amazing neighborhood, the entire thing was filmed in Daybreak and I am so grateful to live in such a beautiful neighborhood!

These last few years have been so much fun and I have learned sooo much about myself and about the YW program. The Bishop knows that Im not too happy with him right now but I am excited about the next adventure they have in store for me.........nursery here I come!

Girls Camp

A few weeks ago I was able to go up to girls camp with our young women. Did you hear that people, WAS ABLE! I didnt have to get dragged up there like I did when I was younger! I was actually really excited to go this year. Mainly because we got to go to the amazing Heber Valley Camp, with CABINS and running water. That is my kind of camping!

Each ward had a choose a Superhero to be for the week and we were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Ladies

Only six of our girls were able to go to camp so we shared a campsite with another ward and we had so much fun with them. My absolute favorite part of camp is singing camp songs, and we sang for hours!

Me and our camp director
Who says that the leaders cant have a secret stash of DC in their cars?

Edward and Bella made their appearance at camp each day dressed up as something different!
Me, Suzy and Stacie-The Presidency minus Tiff
It was cute Suzy's birthday while we were there so we tried to make her feel extra special!
I am able to serve with the best leaders around, Im pretty sure we have more fun than the girls!
Me and my girls! YW is the best calling!
My last night there :( We roasted the biggest marshmellows I had ever seen-they were amazing! I couldnt stay the entire week because of work and I was suprisingly sad to leave!
