Girls Camp

A few weeks ago I was able to go up to girls camp with our young women. Did you hear that people, WAS ABLE! I didnt have to get dragged up there like I did when I was younger! I was actually really excited to go this year. Mainly because we got to go to the amazing Heber Valley Camp, with CABINS and running water. That is my kind of camping!

Each ward had a choose a Superhero to be for the week and we were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Ladies

Only six of our girls were able to go to camp so we shared a campsite with another ward and we had so much fun with them. My absolute favorite part of camp is singing camp songs, and we sang for hours!

It was cute Suzy's birthday while we were there so we tried to make her feel extra special!

I am able to serve with the best leaders around, Im pretty sure we have more fun than the girls!

My last night there :( We roasted the biggest marshmellows I had ever seen-they were amazing! I couldnt stay the entire week because of work and I was suprisingly sad to leave!

4th of July Weekend

We had such a fun 4th of July weekend, I was so so sad for it to end! We had so much fun with our families and I loved being busy every second going from one fun thing to another.

Saturday morning we went to the Brighton Breakfast like we always do and it was so much fun as usual. The weather was perfect and it was gorgeous up there.

Eric, Katie, Meg and Mike were the cashiers.

That day we went swimming at my parents, had a BBQ and then jumped on the tramp.

That night we went with Meg and Jon went to see the fireworks at Holladay Elementary.

Sunday we had the best summer dinner outside at the Hogan's, played games and then we had our own firework show.

Maddie and Jordan were the pyro's of the night who made our firework show possible!

Monday we went swimming at my parents again and then we went up to my sister-in-law's cabin with her family.

I LOOVVEEE summer and am SO sad for it to end!

book worm?

So this year it was my goal to read 2 books. Yes you read that right, 2 books in a year! Im not much of a reader as you can see. However this year has been different! I had read 2 books in January alone! Now Im up to 7 books in 6 months. That may be very weak compared to all you readers out there but Im very proud of myself!

Here is what I have read so far this year....

• Breaking Dawn - weirdest book ever, but whatever, i had to see how it all ended.
• The Last Song - loved it and loved the movie
• These Is My Words - loved it
• Dear John - same thoughts as The Last Song
• Hunger Games - AMAZING
• Catching Fire - OBSESSED
• The Help - loved it

I feel like I have read some pretty good books this year, that is why I need your help to keep the streak going. I just started Half The Sky and don't know how I feel about it yet, and Im planning on reading Hunger Games and Catching Fire again before the third one comes out, yes I am that obsessed. I have all of my characters mapped out for the movies and I do plan on going to Barnes and Noble at midnight when Mockingjay comes out, dont judge. But I need more referrals! I want books that engulf me and I cant put down!
